Our local radio station announced this morning, “NY is to be the first state to have a universal heath care plan that will cover everyone and current tax payers will experience the largest tax increase in American history to pay for it.”
What is your opinion about this proposed health care plan for NY?
This information has been sent to hospital personnel involved with billing. No information about what services will be provided nor how it will be paid for so I am skeptical and in fear that I will not be able to afford my home or income taxes. Without capping profit margins to pharmecutical and supplier companies and individual private institutions that pay high CEO salaries then claim large deficiets at end of year to be eligible for federal funding, I feel citizens will be unfairly taxed to bare the burden so some politicians can make good on promises.
Also, if farmland is foreclosed because of high taxes, land will be cheaply bought by corporations and the incentive to set up shop in NY is that they do not have to pay for employees health care benefits.
Reply:Ask the people of Massachusetts. Flip Romney insituted a similar plan there. It overspent it's budget in the first year, now it's foundering.
Reply:Well, the Governor will have plans on Ways to do this on his desk sometime in May it is far from a reality. I am not for universal health care even though I have none. But if the Government is going to deliberately make it more difficult for those with only a High School diploma to be able to survive they might as well
