Is it just a nice luxury, or the beginning of a world where only the rich can afford to poo in peace?
What is your opinion on pay toilets?
i officially NOMINATE you! for the prize of "The Most Awesomely Random Questions" for 2008!
i love it, it caught my attention and it's funny.
now to answer your question, perhaps those specific companies are charging for piss time because they're running low on some other profits or maybe they use those coins for toilet paper money.
so, it is most likely the BEGINNING OF A WORLD WHERE ONLY THE RICH CAN AFFORD TO POO IN PEACE
Reply:haha rock on :D, thanks for the nomination too! Report Abuse
Reply:i have never thought of it as a nice luxury to be honest
i just thought of it as keeping the toilets up and running and people needing money to do that
as for rich pooping in a pay toilet? they probably wouldn't go there anyway
their butlers are at home with the toilet paper. ready and waiting to assist
:)
you do raise a good point tho
Reply:Europe has had pay toilets for a while. I think they are great! They don't cost much but the money goes towards public works. And they are usually better maintained that regular public restrooms.
Plus if your city has them, you most likely go to the bathroom at work or home. The majority of the money is coming from tourists, which could potentially lower your taxes the same way toll roads do!
Reply:I haven't seen one of them for awhile now, but I certainly do remember when there were a lot of them when I was a kid. I always tho't it was the dumbest, unfair thing to do to someone who really had to "go", but just didn't have the proper change to be able to get in the blasted door. When we did, there was always some kind hearted woman who was willing to hold the door for someone who just happened to be there %26amp; let them in for free. Who knows who paid the initial fee, but you'd better be sure I also was one to hold the door %26amp; let someone in for free too. Could never figure out the reasoning tho, because they were just as sloppy as any other rest room. If memory serves me correctly, I think they use to have them at the shore in Ocean City. (NJ)
Reply:I remember back in the day when there were coin slots on each stall and you had to put a dime in there. I think it was maybe back in the 70's. Can't remember if it was public bathrooms in the malls or the upscale Dept. Stores that did that. I figured out how to crawl underneath the stalls to go without paying for it. What a stupid idea! pay to go to use the toilet. I guess if you don't have the $$ you'd be p.o'd. LOL
Reply:umm.. those actually exist? What if a poor person really needs to use the bathroom? Do they simply just have an accident? how does that work exactly? You pay and it flushes? You pay and the bowl opens? I don't get it... god anything for a quick buck, how sick is the world now.
Reply:I think that if they are public and paid they are likely to be better cleaned. I would rather pay and use a clean restroom than go somewhere where it so smelly it makes you get a gag reflex!
Btw, no I'm not rich. Hardly. I just have an aversion to dirty public restrooms!
Reply:eww um i have no idea what kind of idiot wold make a pay toilet wat if you are broke but you hav to go to the bathroom????? you would embarrass youself and move to europe. wait, ur broke, you would hitchhike to exico and make a new identity lol
Reply:Wow! I haven't had to pay to go to the bathroom in ages!!! I'm 36 now and when I was a kid, the local mall had a change thingy on the bathroom door...it cost a dime to go potty! They don't charge anymore now.
Reply:Simply someplace the drug dealers and sex traffic have
locked themself into too often. I want public toilets with no partitions between toilets as in military, nunnery, or penal institution.
Reply:That's a load of crap..literally! I personally don't use public toilets because they are filthy but it looks like were going to be walking around with pooper scoopers and plastic bags like when we walk our dogs sometime in the future.
Reply:I think pay toilets are a stupid idea. Rich people shouldn't have so much of an advantage. If you want nicer toilets, get better porta-potties.
Reply:this is not a new thing. it cost to go to the batheroom 30 years ago when i was a child. i never understood that
cp
Reply:WTF?!?! When you gotta go you gotta go. You shouldn't need cash to relieve yourself.
Reply:Thats what you pay them for cleaning the toilets but those blue white toilets in Russia are pretty nasty even if you pay 15 Roubles
Reply:bad bad baaaad if you reallly nneeeddd toooo gooo and you have no change or just no money.
Reply:dont they only use those in impoverished communities? thats the only place i have seen them!
Reply:who pays to pee?
I'd rather pee myself then wash my clothes.
Reply:oh my stars! i haven't seen a pay toilet and i hope i never do! that is insane!
Reply:Someone has to slop it out for a fee
Reply:pay toilets, WHAT
Reply:my issue with that is how is it..

Does it anger you to find out people are PAID to post questions and answers to sway opinions on this site?
I did a search and in fact, there are companys that hire 'freelance data entry', for the purpose of selling [candidates] products, to other unsuspecting posters
Does it anger you to find out people are PAID to post questions and answers to sway opinions on this site?
what angers me is that I asked this very same question and they had it deleted almost as soon as it posted.I don't care if they are on here..but they should leave the damn questions alone!

Everyone has their own vested interests and these people are no different. Do you ever make life changing (or even money based) decisions based soley on someone's answer here?
It can be a good starting point, or a good place to find differing opinions, but just like in the real world, you should never take advice from someone unless you know why they are giving it to you.

How much does a MBA graduate get paid in CANADA?
hey friends! Please help me to know some figures (approximate is okay) that how much can a MBA graduate earn in Canada? I mean, minimum salary.
I am a B.Sc (chemistry) graduate + 7 years sales experience + 2 years management experience. I plan to go for MBA and am looking forward to a salary about US$45K-50K per year. But I need opinion of somebody who knows about this. Or if you can suggest a website where I can explore the Canadian Job requirements.
How much does a MBA graduate get paid in CANADA?
Look up Canadian schools in the Official MBA Guide, a free service. They report starting salaries of graduates. With your background and experience your salary expectations are way too low. Think in terms of about $75,000 minimum. Use the Guide to help you find the schools where you would fit best.

If I wanted a second opinion on the reading of a CAT scan, would medicare pay for it ?
If I was on medicare and a Cat scan was used to diagnose cancer, would medicare
pay for a second opinon i.e. a second reading of that scan by another doctor? And how would I go about seeing that this is acomplished? who would I contact in medicare
to do this? Is it likely to take very long? Thanks for your help.
If I wanted a second opinion on the reading of a CAT scan, would medicare pay for it ?
i am so sorry, you sound like you got bad news from this, i'm sorry but i think the Doctor who read your cat scan probably knew what he was doing, i don't really know if medicare would pay or not, just guessing, i would say probably, no, i'm sorry , i know that is not what you wanted to hear, Good Luck to you and God Bless You!!!
Reply:Hello;
First of all, it depends on ur age. Now, if u are on medicare, I'm not sure if it would pay for that. U may want to ask ur doctor about it. But if u are not on medicare, then u or ur insurance may end up paying for that , if u have any health insurance.
On the other hand, if the scan is made by another doctor that is accepting the medicare coverage, your best bet is to ask that doctor to be sure.
But if u are not sure what to do, u would probably want to contact medicare directly. %26lt;Sorry, I don't have their phone number%26gt;.. U can probably do a Google search to find their phone number on the Internet.
Anyway, good luck and I hope I had helped a little. If u can accomplish it, or resolve it, please email me to: mariopcgames@comcast.net

Reply:I have always said everyone is entitled to a 2nd opinoin. Get the films of your CT scan. Nowdays, they are on a disk and take them to whoever you want to take them to for the 2nd opinoin.
It is your right. your health and your peace of mind depend on it. Just call the hospital or the place where you had the CT scan and ask for the films or the disk, and go get them. Tell them you are getting a 2nd opinoin and make sure when you go to the 2nd opinion you take the report (reading) to the doctor with you.
It can be as fast or as slow as it takes you to get the appointment with the doctor. Make sure you tell them when you call, it is for a 2nd opinoin. Ask them what you should bring with you, and arrange to get these from your physician or your hospital.
If your doctor is offended because you are seeking a 2nd opinoin, he is not worth having and should be terminated. Remember the physicians are providing you with a service you are paying for and they should not treat you poorly for asking for another opinion.
I am an Oncology RN.
Medicare pays for 2nd opinoins. Ask to talk with the doctors office manager and she can get you that information. Dont be shy. They deal with this stuff all of the time. They want to get paid as much as you want to know what is going on with your health. They will ask you what kind of insurance you have when you call for the appointment.
Reply:Yes, with permission. Contact the Medicare Ombudsman for your area or read your Medicare handbook. Another good source is to contact AARP and find out about the AARP group in your area. They can usually guide you.

What is your opinion of cutting tax on low-alcohol drinks?
AUSTRALIA: TAX ON LOW ALCOHOL DRINKS COULD BE CUT
The price of low-alcohol drinks in Australia could be cut as part of a strategy to fight binge drinking. Doctors want changes to the tax system - which taxes light beer at a much higher rate than wine - saying it encouraged people to drink more. Wine is currently taxed on the value of the product, while beer and spirits are taxed by alcohol volume. Wine is taxed at as little as 6c a glass while consumers buying low-alcohol beer pay about 52c a middy.
Alcohol consumed at risky levels accounts for two-thirds of all alcohol drunk by Australians. Doctors hope lowering the price of low-alcoholic beverages will limit bingeing. Alcohol pricing reform is being pushed by The Royal College of Physicians and Australian Medical Association and includes a new training system teaching doctors how to treat alcoholics. The alcohol policy has been submitted to the Federal Government.
What is your opinion of cutting tax on low-alcohol drinks?
I guess it is a good idea to help curb drink driving and bad behaviour.
Reply:Encouraging the consumption of lower-alcohol drinks is only good when compared to higher-alcohol drinks. In that case, it is a good idea as it lessons the occurrence of being totally drunk!

Do you think paid republican operatives are organized to secretly pollute political forums like this?
I've noticed lately that there is an increasing number of carbon-copy republican talking point postings on political blogs, websites, etc., including yahoo answers - politics. Their opinions are so similar to official republican talking points that I'm suspicious that so many folks could be that stupid to support the Bush/Cheney's administration - could they be paid political operatives?
Do you think paid republican operatives are organized to secretly pollute political forums like this?
No. That's just standard Republican group-think. That's what happens when people get their opinions and views spoon-fed to them by talk radio. They all end up repeating the same asinine talking points (They hate us for our freedom. Fight them there so we don't fight them here). And really, when all the facts continue to pour in about how bad an idea this war in Iraq was, and how poorly it has been executed, the things they can say in defense become fewer and fewer.
