I have a Minor Consumption charge, and the fine was never paid in full, does this dq me from joining the ARMY?

I wasnt breathlyized nor arrested, and only recived court cost, I paid some, but lost work, and havent paid in about two years, a matter I hope the army can help me resolve as it is my only offense. Also, do ppl with GEDS get bonuses? Furthermore, I completly lack mathmatical skill, but ace the english/reading comprehension on every practice test, my recruiter didnt say much about my unpaid fine, and is still going through the motions with me(Im going in tomorrow to get tutored in math) and am going to meps on thursday, I have been completly honest with him, and he has with me also, would he bother wasting his time if he thought I hadnt a chance? And with the lack of math, and excellent english, will that qualify me for any decent jobs? It doesnt really matter which one I qualify for, either way I am going to do all I can to serve this country and to better myself, so, OPINIONS PLEASE!! Thank you, and yes I realize this paragraph isnt very linguistic, but eh? lol

You cannot enlist in any of the US armed forces if you have outstanding legal issues.

Pay off the fine then go see a recruiter.

And a GED makes you a 'low-quality applicant' and not eligible for bonuses. Go take a semester at a local community college and that will turn you into a 'quality applicant.'
Reply:They are looking for brave young people to go over seas and catch bullets. I don't think they are very picky any more.
Reply:nope, you can't get in while you still owe money, and no, the Army won't pay it off for you. GED holders not only do not get bonuses, typically, no matter how well they do on the ASVAB, they are not offered as many choices when it comes to job choices.

As the military is very High Tech, the lack of Math Skills will hurt.
Reply:well, currently the US army is taking felons.
