What is your opinion on Bush's veto on insurance for kids in families making 60k or more?

should all of america pay the premiums for the middle class? is a constitutional right to free medical treatment for those who can afford to pay out of pocket instead of paying for their own insurance?

What is your opinion on Bush's veto on insurance for kids in families making 60k or more?
it should be a right but its not going to be

as long as bush (or any republican) is there the rich are going to get richer, and the poor are going to get ****

and what's this b.s. about america paying for the middle class, the middle class pays for their insurance, if we are paying for anything is those people on welfare
Reply:Bush is a Drunk...
Reply:It is for people making up to $83k, for the record.

If you make that much, you can afford the $120 a month premiums. If you can't, then you should consider canceling your cable subscription or selling your second car.

Boo-freakin-hoo.
Reply:well for any of you who are making over 60,000 a year you know that you are not starving by any means and should be able to afford insurance for your kids....unless of course your not smart and you have credit cards and too big of a house and three cars....then that was just your stupidity when you were younger....nevertheless...60000 a year is considered middle class and ok pay in large cities. The problem is everything is getting more expensive in the states but everyone is getting paid less except for ''the man at the top'' I think we should all pay a 20% tax and have free unlimited healthcare for everyone and the dr's and rn's and such should be made Government worker with a pension and a salary cap. depending on what area you live in....example 60000 a year in Nebraska is more than what 89% of the people living there actually make....no insurance company is going to turn down a customer that wants insurance, what hilary needs to do is regulate the insurance companies so it doesn't cost soooo much a month. When I lived in the states for private insurance for me my wife and my two children it cost 600 ''a Month'' With Blue cross and blue shield......to me this was rediculous....It cost more than my house payment by 150 bucks....but anyway I live in Deutschland and it is free for my kids and cost me a 20%tax hit everymonth but I dont have to worry about a thing because it automatically comes out of my check....and everyone elses for that matter that lives here....Yes it seems high but its more simple and its the same for almost everyone no matter what your healthcare needs are.
Reply:I support the veto. No more socialism. For anyone.
Reply:Is this a rigged and ultimately disingenuous question?

Yes.
Reply:A family making 60K nowadays can hardly be considered middle class. Your living standards must have seriously declined in the USA over the past 10 years if you consider such a poor family middle class.
Reply:Hes the man! Hillary knows special treatment for insurance already exists its called KIDCARE and she is just trying to get brownie points from the poor that already have free kids insurance! Doesnt anyone know what the F is going on in the world! Bunch of zombies would believe this phony wench!
Reply:I think it was a very responsible thing to do. Just think, if it had passed, every employer could drop insurance coverage for everyone making less than 60k/year. That would be huge. Big business would save more money and our taxes would go up to cover the slack.
Reply:Sandy, I would GLADLY lower my tax rate to 20% to pay for health insurance for everyone. If you think that would work.

For everyone making less than 100K a year it would up to double their taxes and increase their financial burdens more than just buying their own insurance. Good plan there!
