Should professional women tennis players be paid the same prize money as men when they play 3 sets and not 5?

Women want equal pay for Equal Work. It's just something I need help with a little bit of human rights or women rights if you might say. The topic was given by the school social studies teacher, which we're learning Human rights right now, and this is our essay topic. I just need some opinions from people so I can get some idea how to right and plan this essay. Please help, today is Friday in NZ, and it's due Monday. which is 3~4 days later. Thanks.

As far as i'm concerned the amount of money paid doesn't have anything to do with the amount of play.

Professional sport has more to do with business than sports and salaries are determined by how much money is generated by ticket sales and advertising.Just like anything else, the laws of supply and demand come in to play here. If there is a great demand for woman's tennis, higher ticket prices will generate higher salaries for the players.Likewise an event that is of little interest will have lower ticket prices, lower advertising revenue, and lower salaries for the players.
Reply:if women only play three and men play five then no,they should get 3/5th of the pay
Reply:Lord Charles is right, it is unfair.
Reply:OMG! marsha! you cheat! HAHA it was the 3rd thing that came up on google when i typed in Tennis prize money!

haha.
