Friends what is your opinion of Border Patrol Agents Send Newark a Letter?

If your city officials had reported Mr. Carranzas as an illegal alien to DHS while he was in your jail for raping children, the three young people murdered by Mr. Carranzas would be alive. Other sanctuary cities pay heed, because it is only a matter of time until it happens to someone in your town.http://www.nbpc.net/?p=153

Doesn't DHS have a deplorable record of responding to criminal aliens in the US? I've heard many stories of complete lack of interest in even contacting the agencies involved much less doing anything to rid this country of the criminals. Seems as if government policy, dictated by the administration, is to let all illegals here roam free regardless of their criminal history.

The problem is two fold.

First he shouldn't have been in the United States in the first place. Whose fault? Local/State/and Federal Government for failing to protect its citizens who pay taxes to insure a secure country.

Second - Bail should NEVER be granted where child rape is concerned. Whose fault? The Judge who granted bail. Also if citizenship cannot be proven then no bail should be allowed.

Fault also lies with all United States citizens for allowing the illegal alien population to gain a foot hold in the United States.

Either we start doing sweeps to round up those who are here illegally and deport them or we will continue to see bad things happen such as this.

What is also ridiculous is that when people are arrested for any reason they should have to prove citizenship in order to be given the opportunity to make bail. No solid proof of citizenship NO BAIL. For any crime including misdemeanor speeding or broken tail lights... If one cannot prove citizenship they should go directly to jail. If proof of citizenship can not be proven while in jail within a specified time frame then deportation....

I'll write a letter....
Reply:I agree with you, we need to hold our government accountable for not doing their job.
Reply:Actually you are very wrong about this. The reason he was not reported was because he was pending a trial on the rape charges. If he had been picked up by immigration he would of been deported and not been tried for the rape case. Once he was tried to the rape case and found guilty or innocent then they would have to legally contact INS because it was a felony crime. The sanctuary city guidelines only apply to non felony crimes.
