Opinion:paying attention,or being aware?

In eastern philosophy and religion, what do you think the difference between paying attention and being aware are?

Opinion:paying attention,or being aware?
Yes, I agree with you. I am a contemplative which is based on Buddhist meditation techniques. It is impossible to reach the level of awareness without removing distractions first.

Peace!
Reply:Pretty much the same things... mindfulness. It's about trying to be aware or pay attention to what you're doing and do so without developing attachments or aversions to it, seeing it as it really is, etc. staying in the moment.

Reply:when you pay attention you supposedly are listening, but that does not mean you can take action,it is kind of 'good manners, now;in being aware you have knowledge of the situation an it is a matter of principles whether you do or do not take action in the course of events, like acknowledges

and therefore it is up to you to take action
