What’s more important to you Job satisfaction or the Pay Cheque?

Whats more important to you, having a well paid job that you don’t enjoy, and its sh’t everyday! Or a job you love which doesn’t pay well! My opinion is that the Pay Cheque is more important, as I want to provide an excellent life for my Family in the future and the thought of this means I’m willing to work in a job I hate where the money is good.

What’s more important to you Job satisfaction or the Pay Cheque?
Job satisfaction!!!





I'm in a relativly well paid job that I loath right now and am desperately trying to get out and back into the line of work that I love but isn't as well paid (although has great prospects).





Knowing from personal experience, doing a job I dislike is making me misrable and the boredom is preventing me from sleeping properly! Money can't buy you happiness but enjoyment in your job can definately make it better!!





If someone were to ask me if I'd prefer a pay rise or my old job back .......... it's be the old job any day!!!!





And for anyone who's wondering, I was made redundant, I didn't want to leave it :-(

in your case not having a pay check would make it a job you hate, so the 2 are the same.





in my case I agree with you.





my wife however would work for peanuts if she liked the job.

Reply:job satisfaction, i think its importnt that you enjoy the job you do, maybes if your lucky enough you may get promoted and get a pay rise! i enjoy my job, i got a pay rise after i agreed to go full time and which turned out to be good cos i have both now!
Reply:Pay cheque, once I've made my money I can go get the dream job instead. Thats why I live and work in London, so that later on in life I'll be on easy street.
Reply:I think it's important to have a good balance of both. There is no point having a well paid job that is absolutely terrible, yet pays well, because you will wake up every morning thinking of ways to bunk off work which aint good. On the other hand, you dont want a job which is fab, but the pay isnt good as you need to have a comfortable standard of living as well.





So overall, you need both at a suitable level, thats my opinion.
