I need an opinion.......How much would you pay for baby stuff?

How much would you pay for a Graco Travel system (car seat, base and stroller) a pack and play with bassinett, folding changing table, music, light, timer, and vibration and a battery operated swing with a timer, music and speed settings? They all match and are about 3 years old but in good shape. I bought all brand new stuff and I am wanting to get rid of the older stuff. I feel safe with another child using them. I was just wondering if I decided to sell all of it if $200 would be too much to ask. The stuff looks good, you can tell it has been used though. I figured new, the pack and play is about 100 and the travel system is 180 and the swing is 80. That is 360 all together.

I have a hard time with people because I end up feeling sorry for them and they try to talk me down and I give too much stuff away for nothing!

Would you pay 200 for it if it was something you were interested in?

I need an opinion.......How much would you pay for baby stuff?
I think 200 is good, for all of that stuff especially if it is in great condition, they would end up paying more buying seperately. If they went to a consignment shop..they would charge them more too. If you aren't successful at selling it on your own..try ebay
Reply:I'd go w/closer to $100. I have the same Graco stuff (yay its pretty!) and the car seat was like 79, the stroller, 99, the swing, 89, and I dont have the bassinet (got a diff. brand.)

The thing is most people get stuff at their showers and such.... so they'd need a good deal to buy it themselves.
Reply:Yes. For all that you are offering, I think $200 is very reasonable. Plus for the good condition, that makes it a better deal.
Reply:truthfully, most second hand baby items never go for much EXCEPT for clothing (that is clean and unstained)

Why? Well parents prefer to buy new items for safety reasons to keep up with the latest new things. and new items dont really cost much (some of them), so why buy used when it can be new for almost the same price

Most of my baby items I ended up giving to donations except for the clothes.

but if you want to try I suggest Ebay is a good place to resell items for their value sometimes
Reply:For those three things I would shoot a little less. Or, you can try a consignment store. A person who is buying used is typically doing so because they can't afford to buy it new. A rule of thumb is like, 10 to 25 cents on the dollar. So, think around $150. You even said that they are three years old and you can tell it has been used.

Or, feel good that you did something nice and donate it to a battered women's shelter or a foster services/orphanage. They are always getting horrible junk from people and need nice things.
Reply:The resale on baby stuff sucks...I personally would not pay that much, but...

Look on eBay or at a local reseller...see what the stuff is going for.

Knowledge is power!
Reply:That might be a little too much. I would say more like $120.00 or try selling them seperately. If they are in perfect condition you might get a little more but in obvious used condition I wouldnt pay that much.
Reply:No, I would rather buy new if I were going to spend that close to the actual price for something that looked used. I would try closer to 125-150.
Reply:I might be willing to pay 200.00 for something I really liked and needed- ASAP. It sounds like a good package but you did say it they are about 3 yrs old and you can tell they have been used. Everything you buy depreciates in value the minute you take it out of the store. You might want to start at 200 but be willing to take a lesser offer. No less than 125-130. You might be lucky and find someone willing to spend that kind of money(200) on used items. These things don't come cheap- so why is it that you bought new items instead of using the good but used ones? Anyone willing to look for these things(used) is looking for a bargain. Consider what weighs more- getting rid of it for 125 or storing them for a few more years? Keep in mind pretty soon you'll be storing the new things you just bought! :)
Reply:I would probably only pay around $100.00 for it is it were used but looked really good...otherwise, I would just go buy new myself...
Reply:i would pay 300-100 because walmart is cheap and have alot of babystuff and you can get alot of cute things there for a baby
Reply:I wouldn't spend $200 on used baby equipment. If I was going to spend $200 I would just go buy brand new and spend a bit more. We bought a brand new graco travel system, cosco play pen and fisher price swing last year for total of $270!!!

It's frustrating to not be able to get your money back when you sell your baby items...but the truth is MOST people want to buy brand new. And the ones who need to buy second hand probably can't afford to pay $200!
