Firefighters- paid and volunteer: Why do you run into a burning building while everyone else is running out?

I like to hear others opinions to this question.

Firefighters- paid and volunteer: Why do you run into a burning building while everyone else is running out?
Firefighters, just a job although it's obviously dangerous, like other dangerous ones. As long as they feel fine and find the meaning in what they're doing so it doesn't matter.
Reply:Ummmm to save lives of those trapped inside?! Or, to put out the fire so it doesn't spread?!

This is so obvious.
Reply:to save people´s lives , that's part of the objective of being a fire fighter not only to stop the fire from spreading but to save those who might be trapped a firefighter has the knowledge on how to get out safely while common ppl don´t.sometimes there are casualties unfortunately =(...

EDIT I just wonder WHY you are asking this question being a firefighter yourself ....mmmmm BTW nice pics, Congrats you guys make a nice couple.
Reply:Firefighters are trained to run into a building to evacuate people. The people who are running from the building are evaucating themselves. That is what both groups are supposed to do. If you are in a burning building, get out unless you are a firefighter.
Reply:Training, fueled by adrenaline, I would imagine. Likely, it's a matter of focussing that energy in the direction you want it to go.
Reply:to save who cant run
