The thoroughbred racing industry and the Australian jockey club are extremely corrupt. For years they have been breeding freaks, foals with no eyes, or foals that cant walk(almost 80% of production) and the vast majority of HEALTHY animals still go to the knackery to pay for the few that will become race horses. Today, I find a deeper level - thousands of young jockeys who were pushed to succeed, told "you'll be the best, you'll win the melbourne cup!" all fully insured - or so they thought. When these young hopefuls were injured, racing clubs and insurance companies stonewalled. Thousands of young people have had their dreams destroyed, their lives ruined, and even our public figures refuse to get involved because they are all getting paid!
Recently an irish jockey was killed, and despite being billion dollar companies, they refused to pay for his body to be sent home. Most of these people are not asking for settlement, just medical bills and due compensation.
In your opinion, what is the best way to take on a multi billion dollar company?
Get the word out so that the jockeys refuse to ride, the gamblers refuse to bet (good luck with that one), and the sponsors refuse to advertise.
