Since his indictment last week has the opinion of those who defended Barry Bonds changed or not & why?

The only thing i will say on the mattier is that if Bonds is proven by the Feds to be guilty then by all means he should pay the price. But that being said why are they only targeting him but yet Rafael Palmeiro lied to congress %26amp; they not going after him? It's a double standard %26amp; not right at all. If they going after Bonds i say get all of them not just one person.

I have no comment on your question as I have never supported Bonds. HOWEVER, I must completely agree with your statement about going after everyone who lied not JUST Bonds. Specifically Palmeiro for directly lying in court. McGwire was on it when it was legal so punishing him doesn't make sense, unless he lied as well.
Reply:Read the whole indictment at bostondirtdogs.com. Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Yesterdays Headlines". Scroll down again. There is a link right below the lovely pic of Bonds, Victor Conte and Greg Anderson.
Reply:It's all a witch hunt.

They are trying to set an example and are going about it the wrong way.

No matter what happens, guilty or not, this whle situation is tainted.

Bond's will not be found guilty though.

I don't like the guy as a person, but I think he has handled everything very well.

He is probably the greatest hitter baseball has ever seen and I don't think him taking steroids played into to his stats very much.
Reply:Jason Giambi shows that everyone loves a repentant sinner. He should have come clean and now he will never play another game. Bud Selig is licking his chops right now waiting to suspend him.

Sayonara to the Drug Induced Homerun King or DIK for short and good rittens

It is true that steroids doesn't improve hand eye coordination but when you make just sparse contact what should be a pop up ends up in the water well that does add to your stats.
Reply:They may not have the smoking gun on Palmeiro that they may have on Bonds.

Plus, if Palmeiro isn't playing anymore, who from the 'fan perspective' is going to push him.

Would be sweet if the only one left unscathed in this whole thing was Giambi, the only one that came forward.
Reply:Baseball should have to pay the price also!!!
Reply:I'm sure their opinion hasn't changed. They are the same people helping OJ look for the "real" killer.
Reply:No because if they defended him it was clear to them that he was on steroids, and knew what he say at the time although inaccurate and purgery still felt like he was a great player.
Reply:Dusty Baker seems to be the only one on his side at this point, and if Bobby were still alive, then him, too.
