On most of the vehicles I've owned improved engine performance as well as improved mileage. For me these differences were enough to merit it's use.I own a 2005 predator quad and you really can feel the difference in acceleration.
In your opinion what are the advantages of paying for premium gasoline?
If your car requires premium you should stick with it and pay your gas bill with a smile on your face. If you are thinking about putting premium in non-premium car-don't. You won't gain anything and be wasting your money.
Reply:It just makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my car.
Reply:If your car requires premium then that is what you have to use.
If your car doesn't require it, don't use it.
.
Engines that have a high compression ratio and rev fast need the slower burn time of premium to get the best performance and economy.
Reply:If you drive a luxury or sports vehicle, the manufacturer suggests premium gas in order for the vehicle to perform well. Sometimes these vehicles absolutely need it or parts will clog and malfunction. Most people who buy, say a BMW, want it to run at top performance, otherwise money is wasted on a car that can perform. On top of that, if you can afford a vehicle like that, you can afford the extra 4 bucks it costs to fill up. Otherwise, it's really not necessary in standard vehicles.
