In your opinion, do skinny people need to exercise? What about children?





Besides paying for a ridiculously overpriced fitness membership, what else can one do to exercise and stay fit?

In your opinion, do skinny people need to exercise? What about children?
Um yeah everyone needs to exercise whether they be skinny,fat, young, or old. It helps everyone get into better shape either way. A gym really isn't that expensive but you can do cardio and callisthenics's. Basically cardio would consist of stuff like biking, running, swimming, whatever your in to. Callistenic's are like pushups, situps, jumping jacks, a combination of the two are easy ways people can stay healthy.
Reply:Skinny people have no excuse not to exercise. If they don't exercise, they'll have no muscle and be all bones and flab. That's not exactly a pretty picture... and exercising keeps their body in shape and heart healthy. The same goes for children. Children especially need exercise to grow and stay healthy. Being dormant is something no one should do regardless of size and age.
Reply:everyone should somehow excerisze to stay not only in good shape,but healthy.
Reply:Yes...exercise has benefits other than weight loss. I'm skinny...and I feel way healthier when I exercise than when I go for a long time without it, even though my weight doesn't change. It's good for the heart too. I'm not sure about kids...I think too much exercise can actually be harmful for them. It's not good for them to sit on a couch and play video games and eat all day though, either.


I've never paid for a fitness membership...I run outside or on a treadmill and do sit-ups/push-ups at home.
Reply:as the others have mentioned yes everyone should exercise but the gyms can be expensive to some people. The type and amount of exercise will vary depedning on the person, their capabilities, income, and time so without more information i cannot tell you the best ways to stay fit or exercise.





Some basic stuff though is to go for walks whether its as a family or with a friend, even buy a cheap mp3 and go on your own to help keep a heart healthy. Other methods can be simply doing some stretches while watching tv, join a team sport or something like that...if you want some more information just message me and i will be more then happy to help :)

jogging around your neighborhood, playing a sport with some friends (football, tennis, volleyball, etc.), swimming, there's lots of things to do to get in shape!


for me, jogging helps when you're listening to favorite songs because you focus more on the cool tune than the pain in your legs.
Reply:Yes, of course skinny people need to exercise. Just because someone is skinny, it doesn't mean automatically mean they have a healthy level of body fat and it doesn't mean they are fit either.





As for children, I think they should get involved with sports at school do lots of activities such as bike riding, swimming and playing outside as opposed to sitting indoor on the ps2 or x-box all the time.
